How do I sign in to the ReceiptWave portal for accountants, bookkeepers and employers?

You sign in with a 6-digit code or a link from an email we send you. There is no password. The portal is an invite-only beta for now: you can sign in only if ReceiptWave has set your organisation up and added you. If you registered on our website, you can sign in once you've had our "Your portal is ready" email, using the email address you registered with.

On receiptwave.com, open Sign in and choose Accountant or bookkeeper sign-in or Employer sign-in. Both go to the same sign-in page.
Enter the work email address you were added with, and choose Email me a sign-in link.
Leave the Check your inbox page open. Open the email from ReceiptWave.
On your phone, or anywhere else: type the 6-digit code from the email into the Code from the email box on the page you left open, and choose Sign in.
Or, on the same computer and in the same browser: choose Sign in to the portal in the email, then Sign in on the page that opens.
If you belong to more than one organisation, choose the one you want.
The first time after the Organisation Terms are in force: if you're an owner, read the terms, tick I'm authorised to accept these terms for your organisation, and choose Accept. If you're staff, read the three points on Before you start and choose I agree. You do this once (an owner again only when the terms change).

Tips

If you're staff and you see "Your organisation's Owner needs to accept the Organisation Terms first.", ask an owner of your organisation to sign in and accept them. Nobody at ReceiptWave can accept them for you.
The sign-in page links to our Privacy policy and the Organisation terms, which you can read at any time.
Reading your email on your phone? Type the code. A phone's email app opens links in its own browser, which isn't the one you asked from, so the link shows Was this you? there. The code works on the page where you asked, whichever app you read the email in.
The code and the link work once, together, and expire after 10 minutes. Using one uses the other. If they have expired, ask for a new one on the sign-in page.
The code works only on the page, in the browser, where you asked for it. A forwarded email's code is no use to anyone else.
If you ask again, only the newest email's code and link work.
After five wrong tries the code stops working. Ask for a new one.
In another browser, the link shows Was this you?: you can send a new link to the same address for that browser, or type the code on the page where you asked.
We send a code and link only to someone who is already in an organisation the portal is open for. Every address sees the same Check your inbox message, so if no email arrives, check your junk folder, then check with the owner of your organisation that you were added with that address.
During the beta, a new organisation, and a person who has no ReceiptWave sign-in yet, can only be added by ReceiptWave. Ask your organisation's owner to contact support@receiptwave.com.
Signing out ends your session straight away. Sign out when you finish on a shared computer.
