What happens when I claim a receipt?
Updated 5 September 2026
Tapping a stand with the app saves that receipt — the whole thing, every item on it — to your account. That's what makes it findable later, and it's how stamps get counted.
Worth knowing before you tap. A receipt can say something about you. A pharmacy item, a donation, a bookshop on a Tuesday afternoon — all of it is on the receipt, and claiming links it to your account. If you'd rather keep a particular receipt off your account, don't tap it with the app: open it in your browser instead. You can read it, save the link, and nothing is stored against you.
We explain this once, when you set up the app, and you tap Got it. After that, tapping a stand just works — one tap, receipt open, no questions. If you ever see the explanation again on a claim screen, it's because we couldn't find that acknowledgement on this phone: acknowledge it once more and it won't come back.
