What does the ReceiptWave app do?

Updated 14 September 2026

The free ReceiptWave app keeps every receipt you collect in one organised place — automatically. Tap a stand at any participating shop and the receipt files itself into the app. No photographing dockets, no shoeboxes.

What the first screen promises. Before you sign in, the app makes three claims and shows a fourth. The picture is the tap: your phone on a stand at the counter, and the receipt saving itself. The words are the rest — every receipt in one place, searchable; stamp cards and rewards from the businesses you follow; and real tax invoices with the GST shown. That's the whole promise, and each part of it is something the app does today.

Inside the app you'll find four tabs:

  1. Receipts — every receipt you've collected, searchable, newest first.
  2. Messages — offers and updates from businesses you follow.
  3. Rewards — your stamp cards, and the businesses you've chosen to hear from.
  4. Profile — your account and settings.

Tax invoices. Where the shop issued a tax invoice rather than a plain receipt, that's what you get — headed TAX INVOICE, with the GST shown and the shop's ABN on it. It's the document itself, not a picture of one, so it stands up when you claim.
