What does following a business do?
Updated 6 October 2026
The Rewards tab used to be called Following. Same tab, same shops — it was renamed because your stamp cards live there too.
Following keeps a shop's receipts and stamps together in the app. Whether that shop can send you offers and news is a separate choice, and there are two ways to make it: the setting you're offered when you set up the app, which covers shops you collect from, or a shop-by-shop Allow on one of their receipts. Unfollow a shop and everything from them stops, whichever way you allowed it.
When you follow a business you'll get:
- Offers and promotions they send out.
- Event and product updates.
You'll also be told when your receipt is ready, when you earn a stamp or a reward, and when a reward is about to expire — those come from your own purchases and don't depend on following anyone.
To stop one shop's messages but keep following it, tap Stop messages at the bottom of any of its messages; Turn messages back on under Rewards → Following undoes it. To stop everything from one shop, unfollow it under Rewards → Following. To stop offers from all shops at once, turn off Offers and news from shops in your Profile under Preferences — but note that a shop you allowed individually keeps sending until you unfollow it. To turn all notifications off entirely, use your phone's settings.
If you've been using the app for a while, you'll be asked to make this choice the next time we update our terms. Until you do, no shop sends you offers.
The Rewards tab has two lists. Stamps shows the cards you're collecting. Following shows the shops themselves, each with a Follow or Unfollow button — that's where you choose who can reach you.
To follow: open one of their receipts and tap Follow, or find them under Following in the Rewards tab. To unfollow: Rewards → Following, then Unfollow.
