How do stamp cards work?
Updated 27 September 2026
Some shops run a stamp card — buy nine coffees, the tenth is free. You don't have to do anything to collect. Buy the thing, get your receipt, and the stamp is already on the card.
There's no paper card to lose, no app to open at the counter, and nothing to scan.
Where your cards are
In the Rewards tab, under Stamps — the list you land on. Each one is a small version of the card itself — a stamp for each visit in the shop's own colour, and the free one at the end. The shop you're closest to a reward at comes first, and each shows how you're going — 4 of 9 · 5 more for a free coffee. Tap it to open the full card.
Cards live alongside the shops you follow because that's what a card is: a shop you keep going back to. There's no separate wallet to remember.
The other list, Following, is about the shops themselves — who they are and whether they can send you offers. No stamps there.
Getting the free one
When your card fills, an orange banner appears at the top of Rewards and stays there until you've used it. That's the answer to "where did my free coffee go?".
Tap the banner and it takes you to your stamp cards, with the finished one at the top. If you've opened the card itself instead, it shows a Show my reward button at the bottom of the screen that takes you to the same place. Slide to redeem while you're standing at the counter — not before. Drag the arrow most of the way across the bar; if you let go before that, it springs back to the start and nothing is used. Pressing and holding the bar works too. You'll see a confirmation with the shop's name, the time, and a word that changes every half a minute. The changing word is what makes it real: a screenshot has one word frozen on it, and the staff member can watch yours change.
It doesn't expire once you've started, so a slow queue can't cost you the reward.
If something goes wrong, you can put the reward back yourself — once, within the hour. Nobody has to approve it.
