How do I stay signed in, and see where I'm signed in?

Updated 15 October 2026

The ReceiptWave Business app keeps you signed in, so you don't have to sign in every week. You stay signed in for up to 30 days after you last used the app, and for 90 days at most, then the app asks you to sign in again. To see every phone you're signed in on, or to sign one out, open Settings and tap Where you're signed in.

See where you're signed in

  1. Open Settings and tap Where you're signed in.
  2. The list shows This phone first, then each other phone, with the day it signed in and when it was last used.
  3. To sign another phone out, tap Sign out beside it. That phone is signed out within a minute and asks for a sign-in the next time it's used.
  4. To sign out of every phone at once, including this one, tap Sign out everywhere, then tap Sign out everywhere again to confirm. This signs you out on every phone using the latest version of ReceiptWave Business, including this one. A phone that hasn't been updated to the latest version won't be on the list, so it isn't signed out this way: update it, or change your password.

Signing out of this phone

Tap Sign out at the bottom of Settings. It ends this phone's sign-in with ReceiptWave as well as on the phone, so nobody can pick it up again from a copy.

Opening the app with no signal

If you open the app and ReceiptWave can't be reached, you stay signed in. The app opens on the details it last saved, and a notice at the top says You're offline. and Showing your last saved details. We'll try again when you're back online. The notice goes by itself as soon as the app can reach ReceiptWave again; you don't need to do anything.

If ReceiptWave is busy and asks the app to slow down, the notice says Too many tries and Showing your last saved details. We'll try again shortly. instead. You're still signed in.

If the app has no saved details yet, or they were saved more than 30 days ago, the welcome screen says You're offline and Your sign-in is saved. We'll open the app when you're back online. (or Too many tries and Your sign-in is saved. We'll try again shortly.). Nothing is shown from an old copy.

If you start signing in again while the app is waiting, it stops waiting and uses the new sign-in.

If the app says "You've been signed out. Please sign in again."

The app only says this when ReceiptWave has ended your sign-in, for example because you signed out of that phone from another phone, you changed your password, or the account was suspended or closed. Sign in again from the welcome screen. If you use Square, your business is still shown under Welcome back, so it's one tap.
