How do I get started with ReceiptWave for Business?
Updated 22 October 2026
Getting set up means connecting your point of sale, confirming your ABN, and programming your NFC stand. Most businesses are done in about ten minutes.
- Download ReceiptWave for Business and open it. Tap Square on the welcome screen (Shopify, Lightspeed and Zettle are coming soon).
- Sign in with your Square email and password when the Square page opens. That's the "Connect" step — it links your till to ReceiptWave so every sale creates a digital receipt automatically.
- Check the business details we've filled in for you. When you connect Square we read your shop's address, phone, email, website and logo straight from your Square location, so most of the form is already done. Change anything that isn't right.
- Confirm your ABN when asked (see "How do I add or verify my ABN?"). If you signed in with Square, we'll suggest the ABN from your Square profile. Please check it before you tap Confirm — your ABN appears on every tax invoice you issue, so it needs to be the right one. Until you confirm it, your receipts are plain receipts.
- Program your NFC stand (see "How do I set up my NFC stand?").
If we say "This ABN already has a ReceiptWave account"
That means a ReceiptWave account already exists for this ABN, and we won't create a second one — an ABN is public, so anyone who knows yours could otherwise sign up as you. For the same reason, the message doesn't say whether that account is open or closed.
- Set it up yourself? Sign in instead, using the email that set it up. Use Forgot password on the sign-in page if you can't remember it.
- Closed your account, or nobody at your business can get in? Email support@receiptwave.com with your ABN. If you closed the account, we'll reopen your original account for you. We'll check you own the ABN before restoring access.
