How do I choose which items earn a stamp?

Your stamp card runs off your Square menu, so there's nothing to type in. You tick the items that earn a stamp, and everything else earns none.

Go to Connect → Loyalty stamps → Choose which items count.
Tick the items you want to reward. Your most-sold items are at the top.
Tap Save.

Sizes come together. Ticking "Flat White" covers small, regular and large — Square treats those as one item with three sizes, and so do we. You'll never tick nine boxes to mean coffee.

Quantity counts. Three flat whites on one receipt earn three stamps, up to the per-visit limit you set.

Tips

A new drink won't start earning on its own. If something started selling after you set your list, it appears at the top marked New — tick it when you're ready. We'd never add it for you, because that would commit you to a reward you hadn't agreed to fund.
If you haven't ticked anything, every sale earns a stamp. That's deliberate — nobody misses out while you're still setting up.
Quick sales and keyed-in amounts don't earn stamps, even if you type the item's name. Only real menu items count, because that's the only thing Square gives us to match on.
If you set a minimum spend and tick items, a customer needs both. We'll ask you about it when you save, because that's the kind of thing that turns into an argument at the counter.

If your menu won't load

"Reconnect Square to read your menu" — your Square connection was set up before we could read menus. Tap Reconnect Square; it takes about ten seconds and doesn't affect your receipts or your existing stamps.
"Square didn't answer" — a temporary hiccup at Square's end. Your list hasn't changed. Tap Try again in a minute.

In both cases every sale keeps earning a stamp until it's sorted, so no customer loses out while you fix it.
