What happens if I cancel my plan or a payment fails?
Updated 26 September 2026
Cancelling your plan doesn't cut you off: everything keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. If a payment fails, nothing changes for 14 days — we email you straight away, and again before anything pauses. Your receipts never stop for a billing reason.
Cancelling your plan
- Open Portal → Billing and choose Cancel subscription at the top of the page.
- The confirmation tells you the date your plan ends. Choose Cancel subscription to confirm, or Keep my plan to leave it as it is. Until then, loyalty stamps, customer messages, exports and analytics all keep working.
- Changed your mind? Until that date, the same page shows Resume my plan. Press it and your plan carries on as normal.
After the end date, the paid features switch off. Your receipts keep reaching your customers, and your customers keep the stamps they've already earned.
If a payment fails
Card payments aren't switched on yet, so for now there is nothing to pay, no payment can fail, and the Billing page has no card buttons. Your free trial carries on as normal. Once card payments are switched on, this is what happens if a payment fails:
- We email you the same day, and the Billing page shows a notice with the date to update your card by. Nothing changes yet.
- Update your card under Portal → Billing → Update my card.
- If the payment is still outstanding after 14 days, we email you again two days beforehand, and then loyalty stamps and customer messages pause. Receipts, reports, exports and analytics keep working.
- As soon as the payment goes through, everything comes straight back.
