Give customers their paid job record
For jobs paid on site, ReceiptWave gives customers an easy way to collect their digital receipt. Keep the job description, payment and tax details clear so the record is useful later — alongside the quoting, job-management and accounting tools that handle the rest of the work.
- 90-day free trial for founding merchants
- No credit card required
- No lock-in contract
1 · What changes at the job
Take payment through Square as you do now. The customer taps the portable ReceiptWave stand to collect a receipt carrying your business details, the work, GST and your ABN, and you can resend it later. Note the difference between full settlement, a deposit and a part-payment: one payment is not proof of a completed job, and your source records remain your responsibility.
Connect ReceiptWave to Square to add tap-to-collect receipts and customer follow-up.
Setup takes under five minutes: connect your Square account, and connected sales flow through to ReceiptWave. Nothing changes at the till — staff take payment exactly as they do now.
2 · What to switch on, in this order
| Feature | Why it matters here | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| Digital receipt | One tap after payment on a portable stand. No receipt book in the toolbox. | Keep the stand in the van. |
| Correct invoice detail | Your business details, the work, the tax treatment and purchaser identification where required. | Check a $1,000-plus example. |
| Resend a record | Send it again at BAS time to a recipient the client nominates. | Keep it on your phone. |
3 · First action, and how to measure it
- Test a full payment, a deposit and a refund before extending the claim to all jobs. Each behaves differently.
- Use measured admin savings as the value case. Receipt delivery after payment does not speed up debt collection.
What the subscription needs to earn
The main value here is administration: measure minutes spent writing up and reissuing invoices, and the value you assign to that time.
No payback figure is published: job contribution needs labour, materials and overhead, which vary by trade.
