Keep canteen supporters connected
A busy canteen brings players, parents and supporters together. After paying, they tap the ReceiptWave stand to collect a receipt carrying your club logo and a banner you choose, and can opt to follow the club for registration days, fundraisers and volunteer calls.
- 90-day free trial for founding merchants
- No credit card required
- No lock-in contract
1 · What changes at your canteen
Volunteers take payment through Square as they do now. The supporter taps the stand to collect a receipt carrying your club logo and a banner message you set — “New players welcome” with a link to your join page. On the same receipt they can choose to follow the club. Recorded sales help the treasurer report, but cash, refunds, fees and bank reconciliation still happen outside ReceiptWave.
Connect ReceiptWave to Square to add tap-to-collect receipts and customer follow-up.
Setup takes under five minutes: connect your Square account, and connected sales flow through to ReceiptWave. Nothing changes at the till — staff take payment exactly as they do now.
2 · What to switch on, in this order
| Feature | Why it matters here | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| Digital receipt | One tap after payment. No printer or receipt book at the canteen window. | Put the stand at the window. |
| Banner on every receipt | Your logo and a line you choose, linking to registration, volunteering or a fundraiser. | Set the banner and the link. |
| Following and updates | Supporters who choose to follow the club can be sent an update. You send it manually when there is news. | Invite; do not assume. |
3 · First action, and how to measure it
- Start with one home round. Set the banner to a single ask — registration or volunteers — and nothing else.
- Count follows and completed enquiries separately. A click is not a registration, and a canteen purchase is not membership.
What the subscription needs to earn
Illustration: if a canteen sale contributes $3.60 after costs, 30 additional sales a month would cover $15 — about $105 across a seven-month season.
Assumption: $6 average sale at 60% contribution. A new junior registration only helps if net dues exceed affiliation and participation costs.
$15 / month + GST after the 90-day free trial. No lock-in contract.
