Service receipts patients can keep
Patients often need a copy of their receipt after they leave. ReceiptWave gives them an easy way to collect and keep that record. Before using it for health-fund documentation, confirm the receipt carries the patient, provider and service details your fund requires and fits your privacy processes.
- 90-day free trial for founding merchants
- No credit card required
- No lock-in contract
1 · What changes at reception
Take payment through Square as you do now. The patient taps the ReceiptWave stand to collect a service receipt carrying your business details, itemised services and the tax treatment applied by Square. You can resend that record to a recipient the patient nominates. Keep clinical communication in your practice system: following is a separate choice, and health information needs appropriate consent and controls.
Connect ReceiptWave to Square to add tap-to-collect receipts and customer follow-up.
Setup takes under five minutes: connect your Square account, and connected sales flow through to ReceiptWave. Nothing changes at the till — staff take payment exactly as they do now.
2 · What to switch on, in this order
| Feature | Why it matters here | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| Digital receipt | One tap after payment. No printer at reception, nothing to file. | Put the stand on the desk. |
| Correct tax treatment | Your business details and the treatment applied by Square, rather than a blanket GST assumption. | Verify a sample before relying on it. |
| Resend a receipt | Send the record again to a recipient the patient nominates. | Show reception where it lives. |
3 · First action, and how to measure it
- Test representative receipts with your intended fund. Do not use claim-ready language until the required fields are confirmed.
- Remember the payer may not be the patient. A parent or partner may tap, so identity is not established by collection.
What the subscription needs to earn
The main value here is administration, not uplift: measure minutes spent reissuing receipts each month and the value you assign to that time.
No payback figure is published: a consultation contribution needs clinician time and staffing costs, which vary by practice.
$15 / month + GST after the 90-day free trial. No lock-in contract.
