Turn stall interest into involvement

A sausage sizzle can introduce people to your group. Supporters tap to collect a digital receipt carrying your logo and a join, volunteer or event link, and can choose to follow what happens next — so you can keep willing supporters updated between fundraisers.

1 · What changes at your stall

Volunteers take payment through Square as they do now. The supporter taps the ReceiptWave stand to collect a receipt carrying your logo and a banner you set, linking to how to join, volunteer or attend. No receipt printer is needed at the table. Recorded sales give the treasurer a useful record, but reconciliation still happens outside ReceiptWave.

Connect ReceiptWave to Square to add tap-to-collect receipts and customer follow-up.

Setup takes under five minutes: connect your Square account, and connected sales flow through to ReceiptWave. Nothing changes at the till — staff take payment exactly as they do now.

2 · What to switch on, in this order

Feature Why it matters here Do this
Digital receipt One tap after payment. No printer or power needed at the trestle table. Put the stand on the table.
Banner on every receipt Your logo and one specific ask, linked to your join, volunteer or event page. Use one ask, not three.
Following and updates Supporters who choose to follow and stay subscribed can be sent news between events. Send after each event, not weekly.

3 · First action, and how to measure it

What the subscription needs to earn

Illustration: if a stall sale contributes $3 after costs, five additional sales a month would cover $15 — 60 across a year.

Assumption: $5 average sale at 60% contribution. A new member only helps if annual net dues exceed $180.
